Biography Anthony Franco, LICSW graduated summa cum laude from Rhode Island College and was awarded the Anthony E. Ricci Social Work Achievement Award upon graduation. He went on to distinguish himself by completing the masters degree with a GPA of 4.00. He founded Opportunity for Change, which went on to become Rhode Island's first certified domestic violence treatment program and a model for programs which followed. Anthony's work in the field of forensic evaluation for The Department of Children, Youth and Families, and the Family Court of Rhode Island has earned him the respect and praise of Rhode Island judges, attorneys and social workers. He has served as a valuable resource for both private and state agencies in the evaluation and treatment of sexual abuse, and is a designated specialist in that area. Anthony Franco works collaboratively with doctors, schools, insurance companies, and colleagues to meet the specific needs of clients. Areas of expertise include the treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, attention deficit hyperactive disorders (ADHD) and sexual abuse. His years as a professional musician, coupled with his skills as a licensed psychotherapist make him uniquely qualified to help individuals with performance related anxiety. He works with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples and family modalities. Throughout eighteen years of clinical practice he has helped hundreds of individuals reach their treatment goals. Anthony Franco recently celebrated thirty years of marriage. He is the father of two adult children.
